Hello, lovely readers!
The other day, I decided it was high time to tackle my linen cupboard. While it might not sound like the most exhilarating chore, there’s something genuinely delightful about arranging everything just right. Given that my back has been reminding me of my recently torn and slipped disc, I thought this soft, easy task would be a perfect excuse to stay indoors.
My lovely storage boxes, which I simply adore, are from Shein. Yes, I confess, I’m a Shein enthusiast—I can’t resist their charming offerings!
As I look around my quaint back living room, chaos reigns supreme. Everything feels a bit jumbled. In addition to my latest shopping spree, I picked up some beautiful artificial flowers; my new garden furniture and table definitely need a lovely vase filled with blooms that remind me of my little courtyard garden.
I also couldn’t resist some adorable kitchen towels, a delightful fork and spoon set, a pair of earrings, and a couple more lace valance curtains for my kitchen window. The ones currently hanging feel a tad sparse, so these additions will fluff things up quite nicely.
As I organize these bits and bobs into their respective boxes, I’m soothing my soul with the melodious tunes of Lana Del Rey. I’m eagerly awaiting her new album release. I am also so excited to be seeing her this July!
I’ve gathered all my bedding sets together, along with the garden throws and blankets, and even the pillowcases meant for outdoor lounging. My bathroom towels are neatly stored together, and of course, my tablecloths—there’s nothing quite like setting a table, whether inside or out in the garden, with a lovely cloth to add a touch of femininity.
With the leftover boxes, I decided to tuck away my summer shoes. I adore my boots paired with thick, cozy socks or my trusty Ariat deck shoes when it’s cooler. But as the weather warms up, I find joy in slipping into sparkly diamante sliders or my favorite flip-flops. This time around, I treated myself to some new ballet pumps, as they seem so effortlessly classy and can be styled with just about anything. I opted for a lovely chocolate brown suede pair and a sweet baby pink leather version.
Oh, how I dream of a day where I can simply sit and enjoy the peace of my cottage without a care in the world and no tasks to do! Yet, with deliveries arriving almost daily from Amazon or Shein, I can’t bear to leave boxes unpacked. I thrive on a clutter-free space!
Admittedly, I sometimes end up with little piles around the house—be it on my armchair in the back living room or my bedside chair in the bedroom. Guilty as charged!
Despite that, my new kitchen treasures and garden decorations are utterly charming and feminine, bursting with vintage flair. I adore the pink roses embroidered on my cushion covers, and tea towels. They perfectly complement the look I envisioned for my freshly painted patio area.
