"Revamping My Pond: Troubleshooting Water Loss and Designing a Lasting Solution"

The pond feature in my garden has settled and, happily, hasn't lost any more water. I am glad I moved the pond plants during the night however, as that water has gone down quite significantly.

Reflecting on the recent challenges, I believe the water loss was stemming from the middle section upwards. Now, my plan is to create a charming haven by either carefully digging a hole in the ground to securely reposition the basin, nurturing it back into its natural embrace.

Or to add a delightful touch and conceal the pond liner, I envision a single layer of rustic bricks forming a quaint border around the edge. This will not only enhance the aesthetics of the pond but also allow for an enchanting overhang, creating a perfect spot for delicate flowers to flourish. With the fabric underlay I discovered in the shed, I can use those darling bricks to artfully cover and protect the basin, ensuring it remains safe from leaks.

I'm confident that this thoughtful approach will create a lovely, tranquil pond that remains both functional and aesthetically pleasing, allowing nature to thrive in my quaint garden retreat. What do you think? Wouldn’t that be a delightful transformation?

Warmly, Lindsay Blair
